This is our backup extrication truck. It is used when there are accidents in more than one location or if 502 is out of service. We also use the truck at the Tennessee Motor Speedway(local dirt race track)with the county fire department and ambulance service to stand by for any racing incidents. This truck also has a Ford Diesel Chassis and a custom box. 503 is equipped with a full set of Phoenix rescue tools (Pump, Jaws, Cutters, and 2 sizes of rams)along with air bags, reciprocating saws and a large assortment of hand tools. Also on board are a set of life sheers(Cutters that use a gun shell to cut small strips of metal like "a" and "b" posts on a vehicle)and several sizes of wood cribbing.
